Lenses can drive the look and feel of your photo

Same wedding, so why do these look so different? A few things, if you are going for the soft and dreamy look a lense with a lower aperture will place more emphasis on the subject and blur the background.  (Photo on the left)

The photo on the right was taken with a wide angle lens at a higher aperture (this pulls in more of the background and sky and gives a bend feel with the wide angle)

Wide angle

My personal favorite, something about it just grabs the sky, bends the picture and grabs you inside of the setting.  You do have to be careful though because you can get a distorted look very easily as well :) And just know your photographer will be VERY CLOSE TO YOU although the image won’t reflect that.

Low aperture lens (this is a 70-200 2.8)

Always a photographer favorite, its just gives you that dreamy feeling, the subject is enhanced, the background is a creamy feeling but still full of detail and color.  Nothing wrong with this one as well.

Let me know your thoughts when we book!
