St. Augustine, Florida

Where to begin? Longtime local here so here goes-

You can pretty much walk any part of the historical area and find something to stand in front of.  From the variety of doors, coquina shell walls, brick streets, cool cafes, the intracoastal waterway, Vilano beach, Flagler College, the list goes on and on. If you are going for pictures, AVOID the weekends in November, December when the Night of Lights is happening, the crowds are insane.  September, October and Spring are the BEST times for cooler weather along with less crowded areas.

Some faves:

Vilano Beach- Minimal parking so just be prepared- there is a jetty of rocks (check tide times) and prepare for a bit of a walk to get there.  Favorite jeep location and it’s where the intracoastal waterway meets the Atlantic Ocean.  View of the Lighthouse behind you as well!

Walls and Doors- Find any wall or door- I’m serious- The colors, textures and shapes are a DREAM.

Magnolia Ave- This is where the famous Fountain of Youth entrance is located.  It is also where all the oak trees line both sides of the road and provide a stunning canopy and is considered one of the most beautiful streets in America.

Flagler College- The campus allows photographers on site.  There are some great archways, wood stairwells, gardens, patios and walkways.  With the Red Brick exterior I would recommend wearing something opposite so a Green, Blue or White to stand out.

Lightner Museum- Requires a Photography Permit ahead of time.

Casa Monica Resort and Spa- If the photographs above with the wood elevator, throne chair, vintage cars are your vibe, this is your place.  They are absolutely gorgeous place to go with all of the colors and style.

As always hope this is helpful and you can always reach out with any questions.

Xoxo
